This video was filmed in May, there were 9 eggs total, only 5 of which were fertile, unfortunately all the eggs died as we experienced a heat wave which put the eggs at over 90F.

Fusion exotics presents 3 Minute Species, the Venezuelan Greenbottle Blue Tarantula, Chromatopelma cyanopubescens Schmidt, 1995.

Bienvenidos to another exciting 3 Minute Species, our subject today is the Venezuelan Greenbottle Blue Tarantula, here are some neat facts about this gorgeous spider.

The Greenbottle Blue Tarantula (Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens), has some of the most dramatic coloring of any spider species.

Adult greenbottles have metallic blue legs, a blue-green carapace and a vibrant orange abdomen.

They are very active, fast-growing and particularly attractive to tarantula hobbyists.
Natural habitat

These tarantulas are native to the l desert areas of northern Venezuela where they live in burrows under bushes and tree roots in.

They do quite well in temperatures ranging from 75-85, though they can tolerate night drops down to 65.

In captivity they will readily accept crickets, and superworms, in the wild their diet consists of insects, small mammals, and small lizards, pretty much anything.

Behavior
In captivity, this tarantula regularly renews the webbing of its burrow, commonly filling the entire container.

While some individuals are calm and docile, most are not shy and stand quite steadfast in the face of a challenge.

These spiders boast impressive fangs, look as it injects flesh melting venom.

Tarantulas like all spiders digest their food on the outside, turning their prey into a protein soup.

Tarantulas lay webbing down using special organs on the posteriors, these are called 'spinerettes'.

Not only do tarantulas have an impressive set of fangs for defense, at times instead of biting they will opt to kick urticating hairs, like thousands of tiny porcupine quills.

Earlier this year I unboxed a male Death Stalker (Leiurus quinquestriatus) scorpion along with two other tarantulas. The time has finally come for him to meet his mate. Today’s video will demonstrate how I pack him up for shipping. He is being shipped to a person that lives about an hour away. As of today, he has managed to pair them both once, but will be trying again in a week or so to increase the chances of the female being gravid.

Note that this is how animals as such are shipped in the pet trade, and are safe for the most part. Methods may vary slightly between shipper, but this is the general method of doing it. No dangerous behaviour is being encouraged here, as the scorpion was not free-handled using bare hands.

Sometimes tarantulas don't appreciate what you do for them. Sometimes they want things their own way, but as much as it is frustrating, the most important thing is that they are happy with what they want to do. So with that... I present you my "annoying" Arizona Blonde!

This video will demonstrate how I prepare food for my bug-eating animals. Known as "Gut-loading" in the hobby, it is basically filling up the feeder insects' guts with good nutrients from healthy foods, which will then be passed on to the animal that eats it. As the saying goes, "You are what you eat".. it is a practice that many recommend to do prior to feeding your beloved pet(s). Why? Many feeder insects are not often well-fed in pet stores or by suppliers (there are exceptions to this). Feeding your animal an insect that hasn't been properly gut-loaded may not provide it with the nutrients it needs to thrive in the long run.

Many of you have been asking for an update of my Huntsman Spider and her egg sack. She is doing well, however, the egg sack that she laid some weeks back turned out to be infertile, as expected. This is because she had not been paired with a male prior to producing the egg sack. With that, I have decided to open up the egg sack to see what the insides look like. Continue watching this video (if you haven’t already) to find out what the insides of an infertile egg sack looks like.

My HUNTSMAN SPIDER was PREGNANT?? I thought she was just fat lol

Today we will be unboxing a baby Boa Constrictor (BCI) snake that was bred by a friend of mine several months back. I've been contacting him for over a year about new litters but no luck. Middle of this year.. his female finally released a whole bunch of beautiful babies! As soon as I heard the news, I contacted him and got myself a male Aztec! Just in time (well a little early) for Christmas too!

Today’s video is an attempted pairing of Ceratogyrus marshalli (Great Horn Baboon) tarantula. The male (known to many as the “twerking tarantula”) was sent over to me as a breeding loan with my female. Unfortunately, it turns out the pairing was unsuccessful this round.
